New Modern Architecture, Manchester

Manchester's New Architecture.
The audience for my image set is the city council and visitmanchester.com who want to promote the city to businesses  and  buyers looking for ultra modern high spec apartments. I want the audience to take away an idea and vision of Manchester - seen through images of the latest architecture -  as a modern vibrant 21st century European city. This in contradistinction to the hackneyed image many may have of the city as characterised by the terraced houses, cloth caps and industrial decline. Photographers such as Julius Shulman, Milhai Florea, Cristobal Palma and Mike Kelly are inspirational.

Six architecture images depict example buildings that capture the essence of the ‘new Manchester’. Images will be taken at different times of the day to reflect contrasting lighting, some in landscape, some portrait depending on the building. Some will be in black and white to emphasise lines, texture and shape and to present a more fine art appearance (which may infer a high qualitative standard). Images will be presented in this way to enable the audience  to be able to reimagine a city that they thought they once knew.
